Serious Game Component

The Serious Game Component is responsible for providing an interactive experience to a particular situated context where the learner is required to employ competences to reach a successful outcome.
The learner uses the background description of the Story to know the goals, but the rest depends on the interactions and decisions made whilst engaged in the Story. Since an emerging storytelling paradigm is adopted, there is no right or wrong set of steps to follow. For this reason the socialization within the Lounge and KEN are so important to support reflection.
The learner may talk to other characters, but also engage with business processes that are exposed through interfaces such as the Gantt chart of a project.
Within the context of the Story, the personal organizer has the following additional tools for the learner:
- Teleport. With this the learner may instantaneously teleport to another part of the scenario.
- Briefing. This allows the learner to revisit the goals of the Story at any given time
